Urban Pathways has begun construction of the Residence at Hallet's Cove House on 27th Avenue in Hallet's Cove
area of Astoria, Queens. Based on our Ivan Shapiro House
model, the site will house a 50-unit supportive housing residence for formerly homeless adults
recovering from mental illness. When built, Hallets Cove House will have 50 units – 10
units on each of five residential floors. The average size unit is 325 square feet
(the units vary in size just a bit). All residents will be formerly homeless single
adults living with mental illness and under 60% of the median area income. We anticipate
opening Hallets Cove House in 18 months.
Hallets Cove House is the second of six new supportive housing residences in development or pre-development
as Urban Pathways fulfills its goal of building nearly 500 new units of housing.
