PATH Outreach Program
|
On November 30, 2005, Urban Pathways launched its fifth outreach program in five PATH stations located
along the sixth avenue corridor. Each night, two-person outreach teams visit the PATH program
locations - stations at 33rd Street, 23rd Street, 14th Street, 9th Street and Christopher Street - to
engage homeless individuals interested in substance abuse, mental health and medical treatment, housing,
shelter or drop-in center services. Outreach teams will transport interested parties to
locations such as Urban Pathways' Open Door and Antonio G. Olivieri Center for Homeless Women.
At the centers, case managers may facilitate services not accessible during the night or on-site at PATH stations.
