AMTRAK Penn Station Outreach Program
|
In January 2005, Urban Pathways launched the Amtrak Outreach Program. Amtrak Outreach is
located in the Pennsylvania Station in New York City, closest to the 32nd Street and Seventh Avenue
entrance. The office is in operation for eight hours a day, 365 days a year from 7:00 AM -
3:00 PM and 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM. Outreach is conduced at least twice daily and the Amtrak
Police accompanies each outreach team on at least for one tour daily. A late night outreach
tour is conducted monthly from 11:00 PM - 1:00 AM which includes the collaborative efforts of the
Amtrak Outreach, the A.D.E. Team, and the Amtrak Police in order to identify individuals who are
repeatedly arrested in the station and service-resistant.
