Thanksgiving with Mizuho Americas

Mizuho Americas volunteer team at Urban Pathways’ 162nd Street Apartments

Last week, volunteer teams from Mizuho Americas provided and served Thanksgiving dinner to our residents at Cluster House in Manhattan, and the 162nd Street Apartments in the Bronx.

The Mizuho Team personally served a delicious holiday meal to each of our clients. And our clients enjoyed selecting from the broad menu that included not only turkey and stuffing but also macaroni and cheese, rice and beans, pork, and assorted pies for dessert.

Volunteers engaged one-on-one with Urban Pathways’ residents and spoke about a myriad of topics from favorite foods, past thanksgiving memories, and inspiring stories, among others.

This is amazing, we get to have a huge dinner with amazing people who gave their time to serve us. They didn’t have to do that, but so many people here appreciate it. Thank you, so much.” - Robert, Resident of 162nd Street.

Urban Pathways has had a relationship with Mizuho Bank for over a decade. Along with the annual Thanksgiving dinners, Mizuho volunteers painted Ivan Shapiro House a number of years ago and remain committed to the mission of helping move New Yorkers off the streets.

We thank Mizuho and their volunteers for their engagement and generous support.
